Earth Centered Universe Files - Overview
ECU stands for Earth-Centered Universe - A planetarium and telescope control program. The download area of this web site contains ECU User Object Files - astronomical catalogs that can be added to ECU - to extend the number of objects depicted in the software.
To access ECU User Object File data, please sign up.
There are two ways to upload User Object Files into ECU:
- ECU files are available for individual download as predefined catalogs, or
- Use Web ECU to search by coordinates, extent (sky area in square degrees), magnitude and object type or class, and get a data set back to be saved as an ECU file.
